Why Meditate?

For every sensation in the world, there is a ripple to our lake of consciousness.

When we are still, and I mean completely still (not just physically), the surface of our lake of consciousness becomes still and we can see into the depths below. The depths of ourselves. When we are still, we give ourselves the opportunity to come to know our truth.

This is why we practice meditation. To give ourselves the chance to understand and know our true self.

Becoming still in body and mind isn’t just about sitting and thinking….or rather, allowing thoughts to come and go. All relationships take time and effort, similarly the relationship you build with yourself throughout your life requires your time and your effort.
